Town striker Connor Wickham has completed his move to Sunderland, signing a four-year deal at the Stadium of Light. The Blues have revealed the fee to be an initial £8.1 million rising to more than £12 million after additional clauses relating to appearances and achievements are triggered. TWTD understands that there is also a clause which will see the Blues receive a percentage of the profit from his future sale. |

First half goals from Jason Scotland and David Norris saw the Blues to a 2-1 victory over already-relegated Preston in their final home game of the season. Town were good for their 2-0 lead at the break but their performance again drifted in a second half in which Paul Coutts pulled one back for the visitors. |

The England U21 international, who turned 18 today, was again the subject of transfer speculation in this morning’s tabloids with claims that Tottenham will make a £15 million move in the summer. |
